Nature, Life and Society
Our programs, projects and provisions administered under three major themes – NATURE, LIFE AND SOCIETY ( – as our name states) target young people particularly, age 5 to 35.
- NATURE – Acquiring sufficient awareness and exploitation of physical, biological, environmental, and ecological phenomena.
- LIFE – Employing sociological derivatives from NATURE as well as the arts, literature and philosophy, to achieve gainful, productive, fulfilling and satisfying personal life and employment.
- SOCIETY – Using the intellectual and experiential capacity derivable from NATURE and LIFE as above, to develop qualities emblematic of vision, impeccable characters, ability, resilience, temperament and commitment necessary to selflessly improve society and advance human capacity.
Our 2026-2027 Programs
Pursuant to the foregoing, we announce the following programs for 2026-2027
1. ESSAY COMPETITION
-Age 6-15 Topic:
“My Understanding of Science”
Prizes:
1st Price N150,000.00
2nd Price N100,000.00
3rd Price N50,000.00
-Age 16-35 Topic: “Science and the Scientific Method at the Interface of Life and Society”
Prizes:
1st Price N300,000.00
2nd Price N200,000.00
3rd Price N100,000.00
-All essays must not be more than 10 pages long and should have only minimal AI influence in language and production (research may be AI directed).
2. SCHOLARSHIP AND DISSERTATION SUPPORT AWARD
-Award: N100,000.00 each COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP AWARDS
-This year, we are sponsoring three PhD (or other doctoral) dissertation.
- Candidates for the PhD (or other doctoral) degree in any Nigerian University are eligible
- Candidates must be less than 40 years old
- The dissertation must be judged to address or be related the essence of this Foundation and may be in any area of study.
- The candidates shall supply
o Title of their dissertation
o A short synopsis of the dissertation (not more than 1-2 pages)
o The name of their University or College, Department
o The name and contact details of their supervisor
3. COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP AWARD
- Open to youth age 6-35 of Yoruba origin (South Western Nigeria and Kwara State).
- Each category below features a single grand prize of N100,000,00
-Trilingual Speaker Award Requirement:
Must be able to fluently speak Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo. If we have many Trilingual speakers a raffle shall be drawn to pick the grand winner with compensatory prize for runners up
-Community Impact Award Requirement:
Must be actively involved in a verifiable community development project within Yoruba land.
-Yoruba Development Proposal Award Requirement:
Submit a written project proposal or program outline designed to drive development in Yoruba communities. An existing project may be presented as well.
